Thursday, 2 February 2012...He's Back!

Dear Regis Rangers

It turns out that I’m using a list from last semester - so if you’re
getting this and have graduated, transfered to Kansas, or are
otherwise not at Regis this semseter - hang on and I’ll get a new
list next week. Otherwise:

Announcements:

SNOW. Really, there’s apparently going to be a lot of it coming in
the next twenty four hours. If you want to know if there’s going to
be a school delay or closure (and I’m not saying there will be one)
get signed up for RU Alert. It’s easy to do - go to the log in page
for Insite and click on the button “Emergency Message Sign Up”.

Career Fair
Tuesday, February 7, 2012
Student Center, Main Café
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Whether you’re looking for a job, an internship, or just trying to
figure out what you want to do with your life - head over to the
Career Fair next Tuesday. They’ve got over 50 employers who have
already signed up! (And in this economy that’s a lot!) You can check
out the fab employers at www.regis.edu/careerservices. Click on
EVENTS. Chuck Norris will be accepting applications for “Son of
Walker, Texas Ranger” to be aired next year on FitTV. (Okay, I just
made that up…)

You’re now Composting.
The RUSGA Sustainability Committee has created a partnership with Bon
Appetit and Waste Farmers to bring a composting initiative to campus.
The direct action of scrapping your food scraps off of your plate in
the Main Cafe, Ranger Grille and the Claver Hall Starbucks is
regenerating soil with beneficial nutrients. What can you compost at
Regis? You can compost all food products, napkins, paper plates,
paper cups and much more! Learn about our composting program by
chatting with the volunteers near the composting bins.

Retreat, Advance, Retreat…
Finding God in All Things: A Pop Culture Retreat
Join us for good food and good movies at the Jesuit Residence. Fr.
Bart will help guide us through viewing popular movies with a lens of
finding God. Sign-up with a registration form and $10 in the UM
office by Friday, Feb. 3rd

The Return of the Highlander! That’s right the newspaper is
returning this semester. Applications are available at the Office of
Student Activities. They are due tomorrow!

Events:

Tonight!!!! Thursday Thrills brings you the comedy of Clinton
Jackson. The dude is so funny I laugh every time he smiles. (I
don’t know if that’s the greatest endorsement he’s ever had, but
you’ll watch him in the middle of his routine and you’ll do the same
thing.) You can find a video promo on RUConnect. 10pm, Dining Hall.
Brought to you by the good folks of PAC.

Tomorrow Night
Basketball!
Friday, 5pm Men’s game with Free Pizza at half-time followed by the
women’s game at 7pm. You’ll find it all at your Regis University
Coliseum!

Souled is playing the Oriental Theater on Friday night. Looking for
tickets? Find them at:
http://www.theorientaltheater.com/show/detail/54034#tickets

Friday Movie (if we’re physically able to get tickets from their box
office). Looks like it’s Chronicle. Find out more at RUConnected.

Saturday Night
Saturday, 5pm Men’s game no pizza, just plenty of hoops action.
Women’s game at 7pm. Note for people who read through all of these -
there will be a drawing for a Free iPad for anyone in Raucous Rangers
and who’s present for the game and at the drawing. That’s a pretty
sweet deal! Not in Raucous Rangers Yet??? You can join at the games
this weekend!

Sunday Night
Superbowl Party
Check out the New Walkers Pub, renovated by RUSGA and your student
activities dollars. We think you’ll think it’s money well spent.
Souled will be playing pre-game and doing a live half-time show.
(‘Cause not even I want to see Madonna perform in Indy.) The place
is opening at 3pm and the game is at 4:30pm. Free food until it runs
out. Brought to you by RUSGA and Weekend Programming.

Tuesday
Did you blow by the announcement for the Career Fair? Bummer. Well
here it is again.
Student Center, Main Café
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Whether you?re looking for a job, an internship, or just trying to
figure out what you want to do with your life - head over to the
Career Fair next Tuesday. They’ve got over 50 employers who have

EVENTS. Chuck Norris will be accepting applications for “Son of
Walker, Texas Ranger” to be aired next year on FitTV. (Okay, I just
made that up.)

And of course, the reason you opened up this e-mail in the first
place:

Chuck Norris doesn’t play “hide-and-seek.” He plays
“hide-and-pray-I-don’t-find-you.”

Have a great - and safe - evening and weekend!
