Call on President Obama to Protect Greater Canyonlands

Students in Colorado are in a unique position at this moment to possibly determine the future of one of the most stunningly beautiful wild landscapes in the West – the Greater Canyonlands area surrounding Canyonlands National Park in southern Utah. This is because President Obama has the power to protect this area with the stroke of a pen by proclaiming it a national monument. Let’s convince him to do it.

Why would President Obama listen to Colorado students?

Obama is listening because Colorado is a swing state in the upcoming election. He’s paying attention to what Coloradans – especially young people – have to say. Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance is helping organize students along the Front Range to collectively call on President Obama to act on behalf of Greater Canyonlands.

Come. Help us amplify our voices.

 · Hear an inside update about the campaign to Protect Greater Canyonlands

· Brainstorm how students at Regis can organize activities and events to call on Obama to protect Greater Canyonlands.

· Make some plans to move ahead, to make our voices heard.

If you have ever been in the Moab are – or even just seen photos – you know what’s at stake here. Greater Canyonlands is one of the largest, wildest, and most jaw-dropping beautiful landscapes in the West. We have a real chance to make a difference in the future of this amazing place.
