Can you believe that it is officially finals week? Man, time sure does fly by when you are having fun! Well hats off to another great year here at Regis and congratulations to all graduating seniors, and good luck on all of your future endeavors, remember, you will forever and always be a Ranger, and that is without a doubt something to be proud of.

With the completion of another school year, it is also the time to officially welcome the 2012-2013 RUSGA Executive Cabinet, their induction ceremony was Sunday, April 29^th, and they are already hard at work.  Below is the list of the newly inducted RUSGA:

It’s official, there are only 15 days left in the semester and for most of us, we are ready for summer. However, even though the days are limited, it’s not over yet! There is one big thing we all need to do, and it’s not exactly finals, its RANGER WEEK! That’s right, it’s Ranger Week, and time for one last big hoo-rah! Come on out to all the events, and celebrate with your friends the success of another great year at the Reeg!

Saturday, 11am, RANGER DAY “Las Vegas,” on the Quad

On top of RANGER WEEK, next year’s elected officials President-Elect Grant Robbins, Vice President-Elect Will Sabin, and Chief Justice-Elect Terese Cabanting will be introducing their cabinet decisions in preparation for inauguration on April 24^th at Senate on Monday 4/16 at 6:45 in the Faculty Lounge.

We have a great next few weeks coming up, and we have precious few weeks left in the semester. Can I hear a hallelujah? 14 days of class left and then comes summer! Here are a few updates coming up:

Ranger Week… Everybodies favorite time of the semester. We are having a blast this Ranger Week with Powder Puff Football, a scavenger hunt, The Hypnotist, a dance off, and Mr. Regis competition before the major thrill of the week, Ranger Day. We are having a Vegas themed Ranger Day this year, so all you high rollers break out the cards and the dice. We goin’ to Vegas baby!

 So, study hard, prepare for finals, and have a blast.

So what’s left?  Next week is Earth Week, the following week is Ranger Week, then we have dead week and finally Finals!  Graduation is Sunday, May 6th at 10:30 am in the quad (but if you are a senior, you already knew that).

Be sure to read Dave Law’s email closely for the next few weeks as there are some awesome and exciting things happening before we take a break from Regis.

Justice Bingo will be in the Main Cafe from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  As grandma says, you are never too young to play bingo.

Thursday Thrills will be in the Main Cafe at 10:00 p.m. as always!

World Water Day is official today.  Remember to be conscious of how you are using and/or wasting water throughout the day!

The OAP hut trip begins today and lasts until Sunday.  Sign up in the Office of Student Activities to get more information

Also, Applications for the RUSGA Communications Committee are now available.  The Communications Committee handles advertisement, the RUSGA website, and much more.  It is also a great way to become involved in your school!  For more information, please contact the Director of Communications.  

Weather towards the end of the week is looking good, get out and enjoy it!!

Tuesday, March 13^th, at 8pm-  “What You Do Online Can (and probably will) Come Back to Haunt You”.  C.L. Lindsay gives a talk in the Mountain View Room about the social media know how to keep your online life online.  Win a iPod docking station!  

Wednesday, March 14th- at 3:14pm- Pi Day is celebrated in the Walker’s Pub. Come join us for “Recite Pi from memory contest”

Thursday, March 15^th- This week Thrill’s is Think Fast! A fast past game about your knowledge of Pop Culture.

So Saint Patrick’s day is around the corner… According to history.com did you know that there are seven places in the United States named after the shamrock, the floral emblem of Ireland including Mount Gay-Shamrock, WV; Shamrock, TX; Shamrock Lakes, IN; and Shamrock, OK.

To get in the holiday spirit, don’t forget to sign up for St. Baldrick’s! Get your head shaved or donate to the cause.

If summer is in the air for you, just a little reminder: summer school sign up begins March 19^th!

Break was great. Hope you recuperated for yes, the 8 more weeks of school left! Hang in there!

The RUSGA elections start TOMORROW! You will receive an e-ballot in your Regis E-mail tomorrow for the RUSGA General Election.  The email will be sent by ElectionBuddy Elections.  If you do not see it in your inbox, check your junk mail folder.  Simply click on the link that is attached to the email and you will be sent to the ballot.  Voting takes only a few seconds!!

The Election ends this Thursday (3/1/2012) at 11:59pm so Don’t Delay Your Votes!

Just so you know, PAC and SIC are busy away planning this year’s Ranger Week, and are going full force in preparation of the most important day of the week, Ranger Day. The Planning Committee is open to suggestions and any wants or desires anyone may have because when it comes down to it, it really is all about you Rangers! On top of Ranger Week and DAY, the Elections for next year’s RUSGA President, Vice President, and Chief Justice will take place on Thursday March 1st. Debates will be this coming Wednesday February 23rd at 5:30 in Walker’s Pub, so please come on out, hear your classmates speak and listen to the next leaders of RUSGA! Also, on Wednesday at 8 pm in the Main Café, Speakers with Altitude will present Erin Weed who will be talking about Spring Break Safety!
